The programme lists assembly in Marple Memorial Park at 1.30pm, procession at 2.00pm from the park via Hawk Green to All Saints school with pauses for song. There were sports and games for the children on the Recreation Ground at 6.00pm, at 9.30pm a grand firework display and at 10.00pm a bonfire on Marple Ridge.
